Some frequently asked questions and answers

I get asked many questions and hope that I can provide some of the answers you need here. If you can’t find what you are looking for please use the contact page to get in touch.

Which areas do I cover?   I am based in the Wye Valley, on the border between Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Wales and can easily work in venues across surrounding counties of Somerset, Worcestershire and the Bristol area. However, I am very happy to travel across the UK and even abroad if required. My wedding packages include travel costs within 50 miles of GL16 7NY. We will agree suitable travel and accommodation costs separately if required.

Am I insured?  Absolutely – I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance. My certificate can be viewed here.

How do you book me?  I always like to meet the couple and get to know them. I’m interested in your story – how you met, the proposal, the venue, the details. I love weddings and the better our relationship, the better the photographs. During our meetings I will also show you examples of my work and sample albums from previous weddings. If you do make the decision to book me I ask for a completed and signed contract and a non-refundable deposit fee of £500, which can be paid by bank transfer or cheque. Unfortunately, I can’t hold dates without a signed contract and deposit fee.

Should we book an engagement shoot?  There is no need to, it is a complimentary part of my wedding packages. It’s hugely important to me that I have got to know you before the wedding day and this shoot allows us to find out what works specifically with you, to see what you like, and gives you the chance to experience what it’s like being in front of my camera before your wedding day.  Please give this shoot some thought, I suggest we make a plan to do something fun and different.  Location is very important to me and I’ve used castles, bookshops, parks, country houses and the beach for shoots before.  The imagery is always different to your wedding day and some couples have used their engagement images for wedding stationery, guest books and signing boards.

Can I provide prints for the guests?  Once we have had the viewing session after the wedding you decide which images will be uploaded to a private web gallery where your guests can order prints directly.

Do I retain the copyright?   Yes I do because it is essential for my business but you will receive a personalised USB with full print copyright permission of your selected images.

Anthony went above and beyond to make the bride and all of the wedding party (and most importantly the excitable bridesmaids) feel relaxed and at ease. He is creative with his shots and always thinks outside the box. He captured some beautiful moments and provided us all with memories for life. He delivers light banter mixed with the utmost professionalism and gets the job done with a smile on his face. Absolute pleasure to work with.
